Data & AI Solution Architect
TD SYNNEX is looking for a Data & AI Solution Architect to evolve and scale our established data platforms while driving the integration of Agentic AI into the enterprise stack.
Our Customer Data Platform, lakehouse, and analytics capabilities are mature and production-grade — this role is about ensuring architectural coherence, optimizing what’s running, and embedding AI-driven capabilities into real business workflows.
You will be the architectural authority across data and AI, guiding engineering teams while bridging the existing data estate with agentic AI solutions.
About the team
You will join our European Data Practice – Center of Excellence, bridging business needs with scalable data and AI solutions. We are a multidisciplinary team of ~35 experts across 9 nationalities, with diverse professional and academic backgrounds, including telecom, banking, insurance, life sciences, and physics.
What we do
We operate and continuously evolve a comprehensive data and AI ecosystem spanning:
Enterprise data platform consolidating hundreds of internal and external data sources, processing billions of referenceable data points across millions of contacts, partners and end customers.
Modular lakehouse architecture (Snowflake + Databricks) with medallion-based data governance, feature stores, and semantic layers.
AI/ML modeling hub with 50+ production models powering propensity scoring, product recommender systems, customer churn prediction, Next Best Action prioritization, and more.
Agentic AI systems: RAG/CAG architectures, LLM-powered agents that reason, plan, and act with enterprise APIs and tools — an emerging and rapidly growing capability area.
Omni-channel orchestration engine executing hundreds of automated, always-on, personalized marketing and sales activities across email, web, CRM, and social channels.
E2E process automation across ERP, CRM, e-commerce, and partner systems, including pricing optimization, sales efficiency, and operational workflows.
Your role
Data & Platform Architecture
Own and evolve the data platform architecture, blueprints, and roadmap across the CDP ecosystem.
Optimize ingestion, processing, storage, and serving layers for throughput, cost-efficiency, and governance.
Maintain medallion-based data governance (bronze/silver/gold) with schema contracts and coupling standards.
Evolve integration patterns for hundreds of sources — improving reliability, reducing debt, enabling new consumers.
Govern access control, security, and compliance: Unity Catalog, AD groups, row-level security, data classification, encryption at rest and in transit.
Drive platform maturity: CI/CD, monitoring, observability, alerting, incident response, and cost management.
Conduct design reviews; selectively introduce data mesh, data products, or event-driven patterns where justified.
AI Architecture
Design how Agentic AI integrates with the existing CDP data stack, APIs, and application landscape.
Architect agent orchestration: reasoning, planning, API calls, tool use, and write-back to enterprise systems.
Define the interface between AI agents and the data platform — governed, trusted, up-to-date data products.
Design AI security and governance: guardrails, prompt injection defense, PII handling, data leakage prevention, human-in-the-loop controls, and audit trails.
Participate on AI integration technology selection: orchestration frameworks, vector DBs, model serving, API gateways.
Support agent lifecycle standards: versioning, monitoring, drift detection, and automated evaluation.
Collaborate with AI engineers on model selection and deployment — your focus is integration, theirs is internals.
Hands-on & Engineering Leadership
Decompose architectural decisions into well-scoped work items for data and AI engineers.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and code/design reviews during implementation.
Prototype and validate critical components hands-on — lead by example, not only by slides.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and delivery plans.
Bridge DataOps, AgenticOps and IT for platform coherence and reusable patterns.
Required experience
Experience in data engineering / platform engineering.
Proven track record as Solution or Data Architect on enterprise-scale platforms.
Strong background in lakehouse architectures (Snowflake, Databricks).
