Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse (CVOR RN)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Full Time Day Shift CVOR Registered Nurse to join our advanced cardiovascular surgical team Largo, MD. In this role, you will function as a clinical expert, delivering safe, high-acuity patient care in complex open-heart and vascular procedures while supporting patients and families through education and clinical guidance.
Working in a fast-paced, high-performance environment, you will independently circulate and support cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases, ensuring precision, efficiency, and optimal surgical outcomes. This position partners closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary team members to drive exceptional care delivery in a leading-edge CVOR setting.
Shift: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays
Key Responsibilities:
The following statements describe the general nature and level of work performed and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties.
• Independently circulate high-acuity CVOR cases including open heart, vascular, and thoracic procedures; drive safe, efficient case flow and anticipate team needs.
• Coordinate care across surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary team; maintain accountability for patient outcomes throughout the surgical episode.
• Execute evidence-based CVOR practices; uphold sterile technique, patient safety, and surgical quality standards.
• Support performance improvement, NSQI initiatives, and workflow optimization to improve outcomes.
• Serve as a clinical resource and unit leader; step into charge role as needed.
• Precept and mentor staff; support ongoing clinical development and team performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Full-Time Day Shift: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays required.
Licensure:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland or eligibility to practice under Compact state agreements in accordance with the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON), required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
Clinical Experience:
- Minimum of 2–3 years of Operating Room experience required.
- 1–2 years of CVOR or open-heart experience required.
- Clinical experience across cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures.
- Ability to independently circulate high-acuity, complex cardiac cases in a fast-paced surgical environment

Compensation
- Pay Range: $42.03 - $53.30
