Job Summary
Provide tutoring in IT and select computer science courses at designated times. Additionally, offers individual instruction and coaching to supplement classroom learning. Assist with grading and other tasks related to supporting professors and instructors. We offer tutoring for 18 different courses and expect our tutors to assist students at various stages of their learning journey.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, and build confidence.
Teach students to study skills, note-taking skills, and test-taking strategies.
Review class material with students by discussing text, working solutions to problems, or reviewing worksheets or other assignments.
Provide private instruction to individuals or small groups of students to improve academic performance, improve occupational skills, or prepare for academic or occupational tests.
Assess students' progress throughout tutoring sessions.
Assist in grading and course maintenance.
Aid in Department functions as needed.
Validate course materials.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Must exemplify the University Honor Code, including the dress and grooming principles and expectations.

Base Rate Per Hour:
