Job Summary
This role will drive the transformation of the Commercial and Money Movement deals management approach in CEMEA, focusing on client-centricity through deal structuring, governance, and timely approvals. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the Commercial, Visa Direct, and Visa Government Solutions teams meet their Sales targets, while supporting to build new innovative incentive structures for driving faster product adoption and execution. The Director will also champion process improvement initiatives and embed best practices from regional and global finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Own, structure, and deliver complex and specialized CMS deals (e.g., Commercial‑only, VGS, multi‑country or cross‑functional deals), acting as the central coordination point across markets, sellers, finance, and functional partners.
Provide end‑to‑end deal governance and workflow leadership, including:
1. Prioritization at deal structuring stage
2. Oversight of financial modelling and incentive structures
3. Governance of GIG preparation and approvals
4. Ensuring compliance with internal approval and control requirements
Maintain a forward‑looking CMS deal calendar, leading regular sprint‑based reviews to proactively identify risks, dependencies, and decision points, and to drive deal velocity.
Serve as the CMS Deal Management Center of Excellence, defining and embedding best practices, standard processes, and governance frameworks, while continuously driving efficiency, scalability, and innovation.
Build the CMS Deals Strategy to ensure we are targeting the right target audience (remittance houses, corporate treasuries, ERPs, governments, etc.) with a differentiated incentive structure and deal tenure for faster contracting and execution
Lead pricing and IRF proposals for Visa Direct and Visa Commercial Solutions Prepare executive‑ready materials, including deal approval decks, governance papers, and management presentations for CMS leadership and senior stakeholders.
AOP: Support CMS AOP build through performance diagnostics, budgeting, forecasting, multi-year strategic outlook development
Identify VIK, MDF, and incentive trends, insights and defining critical decisions to ensure the effective strategic management of the business and delivery of CMS financial performance
Actively maintain current tools/models and introduce new tools/models/processes to streamline deal structuring and approvals for CMS sellers
Partner closely with Finance, specialized sellers, and Account Executives to structure and validate financial models for client incentive deals, facilitating timely and high‑quality approvals across all levels.
Act as a trusted advisor to CMS senior leadership on deal economics, new incentive models, and pipeline health
Set standards and direction for CMS deal governance and performance management across the region.
Provide analytical leadership across the deal lifecycle, including:
1. Revenue and incentive calculations
2. Incentive tracking and performance monitoring
3. Portfolio‑level insights and trend analysis
Support the CMS BPO Head in designing and running governance forums and functional review cadences, enabling CMS leadership to assess deal velocity and delays across Business Units to drive accountability
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Economics
MBA or equivalent in finance field
10–12 years experience in corporate finance, banking, or equivalent fields
Experience in deal modeling, incentive structuring or finance analysis roles within B2B organizations, ideally with multi-product solutions
Demonstrated program leadership capabilities to drive key financial processes
Experience in and/or significant exposure to the financial services/payments industry required
Advanced application of pivot tables, macros and formulas
Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy and quality of output
Proficiency in analytics tools like Power BI or Tableau
Global or multi-national business experience strongly preferred
Proven track record in managing complex deals and implementing governance processes
Ability to work effectively with a diverse team and produce time sensitive deliverables
