Job Description

Major Function

The Compensation Analyst supports WWF’s compensation programs to ensure competitive, equitable, and compliant pay practices. This role performs compensation analysis, market benchmarking, survey participation, reporting, and coordination of annual compensation processes.

The role partners with the Director of Total Rewards (TR Director) to analyze market and internal pay data and execute compensation programs, including salary structures, annual merit increases, promotions, equity reviews, and rewards and recognition programs. It serves as a key point of contact for compensation inquiries and collaborates with Talent Acquisition, P&C Business Partners, People Technology, compensation vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and consistent compensation administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responds to compensation-related inquiries from employees and managers, including salary offers, promotions, equity reviews, and rewards and recognition questions, escalating complex matters as appropriate.
  • Completes and submits compensation surveys under the direction of TR Director, ensuring accurate and timely market data reporting.
  • Compiles and validates internal and external compensation data; maintains key compensation materials (e.g., salary structures, job pricing summaries, and market comparison reports); and supports TR Director–led compensation projects, including market analysis, pay equity reviews, and program enhancements, by providing insights and recommendations.
  • Executes annual compensation processes, including merit increases, promotions, and incentive or recognition programs, in coordination with People Technology and under the direction of the TR Director and broader P&C leadership.
  • Partners with the Talent Acquisition team to provide compensation data and guidance for new hire offers and internal transfers, ensuring alignment with approved salary structures and TR Director-established guidelines.
  • Partners with the People Technology team to ensure accurate processing of compensation transactions in Workday, including data validation, audits, corrections, and maintenance of accurate, consistent, and confidential compensation data across P&C systems.
  • Prepares recurring and ad hoc compensation reports, dashboards, and analyses for the TR Director, P&C leadership, and other stakeholders, and partners with People Technology and IT to identify reporting needs and enhance compensation reporting and analytics tools.
  • Administers rewards and recognition programs from a compensation perspective, including service and other awards and related activities with P&C Business Partners, People Technology, and Communications teams, in alignment with established rewards and recognition processes.
  • Ensures adherence to internal compensation policies and supports compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Skills and Abilities

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration. CCP preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience, including 2 years of experience in HRIS data management, is required. Experience with Workday is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Integrity and the ability to work with confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, sound judgment, willingness to take initiative, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of MS Suite with focus on Excel.
