
Slopeside FOH Supervisor
Job Description
The Highlands at Harbor Springs is looking for a new Supervisor to join our Slopeside Lounge team! You will be responsible for supervising a great team plus assisting with scheduling, addressing complaints, and training new team members, among other things. Shifts will primarily be evening hours. This is a full-time, year-round position with flexible scheduling, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the various perks that come with working for an amazing ski resort.

Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Primary Responsibilities (60-80% of time)
- Assist with daily staffing levels, billing transactions, inventory, etc.
- Ensure cleanliness of the bar.
- Take appropriate action on any complaint or problem to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Work closely with culinary and other departments to properly plan and coordinate the operation of the lounge .
- Maintain awareness of accident prevention, safety, and fire prevention.
- Consistently look for new methods, techniques, equipment, and material that will improve the overall efficiency and/or quality of the department.
- Supervise 8-12 team members, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members as well as addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Train new team members.
Secondary Responsibilities (20-40% of time)
- Assist in the rearranging of tables, if needed
- Respond promptly and courteously to any customer requests.

Qualifications
Education:
Must be 18 years or older
Experience:
6–12 months of supervisory or related experience
Skills & Competencies:
Technical Skills: Self-starter, basic bartending skills, working knowledge of POS systems, basic computer skills
Core Competencies: Attention to detail, time management, teamwork, ability to multi-task
Physical Requirements:
Light to medium work: Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs
