• Review medical records, assess patient needs, assure the placement of endotracheal tube, and performs bedside PFT and weaning parameters.·
• Conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures to achieve a patent airway.·
• Assists in changing tubes, removal of bronchopulmonary secretions and administers pharmacological agents.·
• Performs EKGs according to hospital policy and procedures.

• American Medical Association College Program Graduate·
• Associate Degree Required
• New York State Respiratory Therapist License·
• Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Therapy·
• BLS, ACLS·
• Prior intensive care experience·
• Intubation experience
