Job Description
The Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) is one of Georgia's four health agencies serving the state's growing population of over 10 million people. DCH serves as the lead agency for Medicaid, oversees the State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP) and Healthcare Facility Regulation, impacting one in four Georgians.

The Department of Community Health is seeking qualified applicants Business Support Analyst for the Office of General Counsel. This is a hybrid position that requires in-office and remote work with the approval of the supervisor. The days and frequency in the office can change at any time during employment based on the business needs of the organization.
Under general supervision, performs complex administrative duties and statistical, financial, or operational data analysis and reporting in support of management decision making in functional area. Identifies trends, discrepancies, and variances to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. May partner with other departments, divisions, outside agencies, and vendors to address business issues. Exercises various latitudes of independent judgment. May administer or provide high level support for various projects, grants, contracts, implementation of procedures, and/or any specialized functions. Assists with orientation, training, or providing task guidance of junior team members.Associate degree in communication, English, or public relations from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience related to area of assignment; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Business Support Analyst 1 (GSP130).
Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.
Other duties include, but are not limited to:
• Receive, review, and route requested contract actions; logging requests into appropriate electronic databases.
• Route contract documents for review/approval in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Accurately maintain unit data, logs, reports, and other unit documentation, including monitoring certain ongoing components of contract compliance, when applicable.
• Create spreadsheets and reports upon request.
• Review and analyze unit data and related logs/systems/etc. and recommend changes to existing methods of maintaining and cataloguing data to streamline or otherwise improve the unit’s data management.
• Maintain physical and electronic contract files pursuant to storage policies and procedures.
• Draft correspondence to internal and external customers.
• Assist with audits and drafting responses to inquiries from internal and external auditors.
• Assist with open records requests and other document production requests pertaining to contractual documents.
• Assist with and lead training of unit and other department staff responsible for monitoring contracts.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
PREFERRED COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the qualifications listed above, demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience:
• Previous business analysis, business process modeling/gathering, and/or reviewing experience.
• Previous contracts management/administration experience.
• Previous data management and analytics experience.
• Medicaid or other government experience a plus.
