All about the role:

Functional System Validation Laboratory Engineer will be primarily supporting the Digital & Electronics Technology development team with tasks to deliver functional system and connected(software) validation testing as it relates to cooking appliances. The Functional System Validation Laboratory Engineer executes formal test procedures to ensure the functional system conforms to systems level product requirements.

What you’ll do:

  • Support and conducts functional system validation testing following internally generated test procedures, product level specifications, and records the discrepancies in issue tracking software.
  • Works closely with and provides technical expertise to functional systems/software engineers to prepare test and validation plans/manuals.
  • Generates functional system test logs from standard laboratory templates.
  • Responsible for functional system validation team support of flashing electronics controls as needed throughout the R&D community.
  • Provides technical expertise to the engineering team to analyze test results and suggest improvements to systems, specifications, and consumer use cases.
  • Provides support and training on new test methodologies and new products to internal laboratory staff, other departments, and customers.
  • Responsible for the training on new functional system validation team members. · Performs special projects as directed by the lab/department manager.

Who you are:

  • Two-year technical degree or equivalent combination of education/experience. Bachelor's in engineering is a plus.
  • Basic technical knowledge of electrical/electronic functional system in home appliances
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Exhibit appropriate professional behavior including positive attitude, sense of urgency, independent judgment, teamwork, creative thinking, and personal integrity to achieve department/corporate goals and objectives.
  • Team spirit and communication skills, share information with group

Where you’ll be:

You will be based in Rothenburg in one of the principal Food Preparation Plants in Europe.
