Overnight ER Veterinary Technician
At Emergency Animal Hospital of Collin County (EAHCC), our overnight ER team is focused and ready for action, placing you on the front lines of lifesaving care alongside a trusted, fast-moving team when pets and their families need it most—this isn’t just another overnight job, it’s emergency medicine where your impact is immediate and real.
Picture this: it’s 2:17 a.m. The waiting room is quiet… until it’s not. The doors swing open and everything shifts. You’re already moving—gloves on, mind sharp, instincts leading the way. There’s no hesitation, just action. You’ve trained for this, and your team knows it.
The next few hours are a blur of controlled chaos—triaging critical patients, running diagnostics, stabilizing the unstable, and being the steady presence when everything feels uncertain. You’re the calm in the storm for both your patients and your teammates, keeping things grounded when it matters most.

Who We Are
EAHCC is a 24/7 emergency hospital built for the unexpected. Every shift brings new challenges - and new opportunities to make a difference.
We support our teams with the tools and medicine they need to succeed, including:
- In-house diagnostics and laboratory testing
- Digital radiography and ultrasound
- Emergency and soft tissue surgery
- Fluid therapy, blood, and plasma transfusions
- Oxygen therapy and advanced monitoring
- Endoscopy and ECG monitoring
Compensation:
- Experienced Non-Credentialed Technician: $22–$26/hour
- Credentialed Technician: $26- $30/ hour
- Based on experience and skillset
- +$4/hour overnight differential for full overnight shifts
- Relocation bonus for qualified candidates
Schedule:
- Full Time
- 3 shifts per week on a set schedule
- Thursday – Saturday
- 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Responsibilities
As an Overnight ER Veterinary Technician, you’ll jump into fast-paced, meaningful work - every single shift:

- Perform triage and rapid patient assessments
- Place IV catheters, manage fluids, and run diagnostics
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with emergency surgeries
- Provide post-op and hospitalized patient care
- Administer medications and supportive therapies
- Communicate clearly with doctors and pet parents during high-stress moments
- Document accurately and efficiently—because details save lives

- Experienced veterinary technician in emergency or specialty medicine (2+ years required)
- A Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, or LVT) is preferred
- Calm, focused, and effective under pressure
- A strong communicator with empathy for pet parents in crisis
- A team-first professional who consistently shows up for coworkers
- Hands-on, active and managing multiple critical tasks
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!
