Senior Procurement Specialist (Indirect)

Role Purposes:

• Represent Indirect Purchasing (IPUR) Team within Procurement Department, Vietnam in the implementation of Indirect Purchasing strategies to optimize business efficiency, ensure compliance to governing laws and regulations and achieving performance targets set
• Source and develop suitable external suppliers for the supply of indirect materials/products and services to support Production/operations. Using the E-platform to manage internal and external catalogues for supplies. In accomplishing this, the Procurement Specialist will evaluate, determine the best supplier, value for those products and services alignment with Indirect Procurement Team in South East Asia

Major Accountabilities:

• Responsible in purchasing activities such as the E-procurement projects, tender process, supplier relationships and contract management for goods and services;
• Request, prepare and review quotes / bids together with the Senior/Manager in supply contracts;
• Maintain and update list of suppliers on their qualifications and potential future development;
• Collaborate with Inter-departments; provide an effective and value-added services for the entire organization;
• Data Management and analysis to identify new opportunities for cost reduction;
• Facilitate and implement procurement change initiatives within Indirect Material Group (MG) to improve business performance, process, and/or or technology enhancement;
• Review purchase orders and ensure that they are in line with company policies and procedures;
• Follow up with vendors to ensure that orders are delivered on time and within budget parameters;
• Review the shipping documents;
• Traveling may be required (to visit strategic suppliers) and make the visit reports accordingly;
• Build and implement the purchase strategy for the in-charged category;
• Assist in training and supporting Procurement Specialist B/A (if any);
• Handle ad-hoc duties / projects when necessary;

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in business related area or industry experience equivalent in the fields of Supply Chain Management, or purchasing;
• Business fluent English language (both written and spoken skills) is a must; German or another Asian language is a benefit;
• Minimum 5 years of experience related purchasing experience in manufacturing, engineering industry;
• Strong at supplier management and understanding of International business, Import-export activities;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint/Word/Access/Excel/ Outlook);
• Familiar with ERP system (Movex system is a plus);
