Job Description
Position Summary:
The Dietary Services Manager is responsible for meeting the nutritional needs of the facility residents in a safe, resident-focused manner.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Develops menus meeting requirements for variety and rotation of menu items.
Orders raw food and food preparation supplies.
Supervises department staff including hiring, training, scheduling, performance appraisal.
Participates in budget development and adheres to budget.
Assures department compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Monitors resident weights and participates in resident weight committee.
Participates in morning meeting, QAPI Committee, and care conferences.
Completes MDS assessments in a timely, and accurate manner.
Other duties as requested
Minimum qualifications:
Current ServSafe certification
Certified Dietary Manager, or exam eligible
1 year experience in a SNF, Assisted Living or CCRC kitchen leadership role
