Job Description

 

Position Summary:

The Dietary Services Manager is responsible for meeting the nutritional needs of the facility residents in a safe, resident-focused manner.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develops menus meeting requirements for variety and rotation of menu items.

  • Orders raw food and food preparation supplies.

  • Supervises department staff including hiring, training, scheduling, performance appraisal.

  • Participates in budget development and adheres to budget.

  • Assures department compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitors resident weights and participates in resident weight committee.

  • Participates in morning meeting, QAPI Committee, and care conferences.

  • Completes MDS assessments in a timely, and accurate manner.

  • Other duties as requested

Minimum qualifications:

  • Current ServSafe certification

  • Certified Dietary Manager, or exam eligible

  • 1 year experience in a SNF, Assisted Living or CCRC kitchen leadership role
