Job Description

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the service department
  • Loading and unloading equipment (Driven and using a forklift)
  • Create work orders and communicate with sales dept on new sales setups and delivery dates using Workflow system
  • Stage new setups for easy access for Service technicians
  • Create work orders for new equipment as they arrive to start the PDI process
  • Stage equipment for delivery drivers.
  • Help maintain a professional appearance of the grounds including equipment, parking lot, and buildings.
  • Ability to learn Service System (JDSO) and help department keep compliant on WIP and Sales
  • Demonstrate a constant commitment to customer service
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers and management
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products and wiliness to learn new systems and processes.
  • This position is 70% Lot Attendant and 30% Assistant Service Manager

 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment: Efficiently managing multiple customers and tasks
  • Work independently with little or no supervision, self-motivated
  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment preferred.
  • Experience with basic computer functions such as email, word and excel.
  • Experience working cooperatively in a team environment
  • Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
  • Valid drivers license required
