Job Description

We are seeking AI-Native Software Engineers to join a small, high-impact engineering pod supporting a senior technical lead and a client team.

This is not a traditional staff augmentation role. Engineers will operate in an R&D-style environment, working with ambiguity, rapidly prototyping solutions, and leveraging AI tools to accelerate engineering workflows and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and iterate on prototypes, internal tools, and engineering solutions
• Use AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and documentation
• Contribute to CI/CD improvements, testing automation, and code quality initiatives
• Help improve software development lifecycle (SDLC) workflows using AI
• Collaborate directly with internal and client technical leads, contributing ideas and technical direction
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment without a fully defined backlog

Key Expectation:
Candidates must demonstrate real, day-to-day use of AI tools to accelerate engineering work.
Profiles that only list AI tools without practical application will not be considered.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
• Strong coding and problem-solving skills
• Daily, hands-on use of AI coding tools (beyond experimental exposure)
• Ability to clearly articulate how AI tools improve development workflows (coding, debugging, testing, refactoring, etc.)
• Experience working on internal tools, developer productivity, or engineering processes is a strong plus
• Comfortable working in unstructured / R&D environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with senior technical stakeholders

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Go and/or C++
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices
• Experience with code quality, testing frameworks, or security best practices

Additional Information

• Engagement Model: Pod-based (not full-time staff augmentation), with flexible or part-time allocation
• Duration: Initial 3–6 months, with potential extension
• Team Structure:
  • 1 Senior AI-focused Engineer (Poland-based)
  • 1–2 AI-Native Engineers (LATAM)
• Working Hours: Strong overlap with US time zones required

Interview Process:

1. Internal screening
2. Technical conversation with internal lead
3. Final alignment / potential security discussion

Environment & Tools:

• Development: Mac
• Production / secondary: Linux / Ubuntu
• No specific cloud environment defined yet
• Secure development practices expected
• GitHub access managed via feature branches

Location & Restrictions:

• Preferred: LATAM (Argentina, Brazil, or similar US-aligned time zones)
• Must not be based in: India
• Must avoid exposure to restricted regions: China, Hong Kong, Macau, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela
• Federal background check may be required
• No exposure to classified or CUI materials expected
