Job Description
Are you an experienced engineering professional with deep expertise in paper machinery? We are looking for a Product Manager to bridge product engineering, cost management, and cross-functional collaboration. In this role, you will act as the key technical interface between local project teams, sales, customers, and our European headquarters. You will drive product competitiveness, lead engineering quality, and ensure successful project delivery from design to commissioning.
Your responsibilities
· General Duties:
1.Understand and follow company’s rules, regulations, policies, instructions and procedures, particularly pay high attention to “Code of Conduct”, “Minimum Safety Standard”, as well as “Information Protection Policy”.
2.Have awareness of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. ISO9001Be clear with responsible task’s overall requirements (on plan, quality, delivery time, etc.) and proceed in an effective way, be engaging in work and actively cooperating with teammates, to ensure accomplishing tasks.
3.Manage feedback from both internal and external parties, to continuously optimize products, solutions, as well as work process.
4.Implement 5S management in own area and support its implementation in whole work area.
· Principal Duties
1.Product engineering focuses
a.To be the engineering communication windows for sales, Project Manager, customers in responsible delivery project.
b.Collect and clarify initial engineering information to engineering group to start engineering work, including contract requirement, technical specification, project standards, delivery limits.
c.In case of customer specific requirement, instruction to be created and informed to engineers. All information shall be visible in project information.
d.Responsible for Engineering Quality Assurance (QA) plan creation and secure the QA plan execution according to engineering process. （QA）
e.Confirmation of customer documentation content and transmittal schedule. Follow the progress to fulfill customer requirement.
f. Support engineering scheduler to finalize the engineering schedule and engineering budget.
g.Work together with engineering manager to build up project engineering team and managing assigned resources to fulfill engineering targets.
h.Regular engineering status report according to Engineering Department Management model. Take leading role for corrective action to ensure on time delivery and quality plan implementation.
i.Support Project Manager to participate customer meeting. Clarifying customer question relating to product technology by coordinating with engineering resources.
j.Collecting feedback from delivery process, ensure needed corrective actions are made properly.
k.Supporting site work during installation, commissioning and start up for needed engineering solutions.
l.Responsible for project summary report according to instruction. n.Continuously develop own skills. Take coach role to develop lead engineer’s capability.
Expectations for you
1.Bachelor, major in mechanical or related.
2.CET4 or above, be able to do the daily work in fluent English.
3.Sufficient skills in MS office tools and Engineering tools.
4.Minimum 8 years’ experience in Valmet Paper Engineering related work.
5.Excellent knowledge of Valmet product scope within responsibility area.
6.Good knowledge in Paper Machine process and Valmet Paper concepts.
7.Good communication skills and teamwork spirit.
8.Systematic thinking and good documenting skill.
