| Qualifications Profile (Licensure) | Licensure: Must hold a current, valid Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license. Experience: Minimum of one year of licensed nursing experience. Train-the-Trainer: Must complete a CNA Program Director/Instructor Training Seminar, frequently offered by Ivy Tech Community College, Indiana University School of Nursing, or other approved trainers. Approval: Must be approved as a Program Director (PD) or Delegated Instructor (DI) by the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH). Background: Must be in good standing with the Indiana State Board of Nursing with no verified complaints of abuse or neglect. Must hold a valid Workplace Specialist II (WSII) License, or valid teaching license, or be eligible for a teacher's license based on education and work experience. (Eligibility is defined as holding or being eligible for a Workplace Specialist (WS) license by having over 4000-6000 documented hours in the field in the last five years.) |

JOB EXPECTATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Position Purpose / Description |
The Teacher is responsible for teaching groups of students in a classroom setting, based on a curriculum and supported by instructional materials.
Essential Functions |
- Plan, prepare, and deliver standards-aligned instruction that meets the diverse learning needs of students in assigned subject area(s)
- Assess, monitor, and document student progress through multiple measures, maintaining accurate records and providing timely feedback to students and families
- Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, social-emotional development, and academic achievement
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, support staff, and caregivers to support student learning
Additional Duties |
- The teacher is responsible for monitoring, promoting, and supporting Career-Technical Education by assisting with marketing and public relations as assigned.
- The teacher will provide daily hall supervision prior to class start and after class dismissal.
- Employment Notification: Employment is based on maintaining a substantial enrollment year to year that covers salary and benefits.

- Proficiency with instructional technology, learning management systems, and data analysis tools to enhance instruction and track student outcomes
