Description of Work

The Salesforce Solution Engineer will support our Early Education Information System (EEIS) project, ensuring a stable, secure, and user-centered Salesforce platform integrated with Boomi technologies.

This role leads the design, configuration, and delivery of scalable Salesforce solutions while maintaining system reliability, meeting defined data-quality standards, and implementing strong security and governance practices. The engineer will troubleshoot and resolve Salesforce issues within established SLAs, translate stakeholder needs into enhancements that improve adoption and measurable workflow efficiency, and guide integration and data-flow improvements across connected systems. The position also evaluates and introduces new technologies, modernizes the platform through incremental improvements, and ensures alignment with evolving policy, practice, and user needs.

Success in this role requires clear communication, leadership, and long-term strategic planning to keep the system accessible, sustainable, and effective for frontline staff serving OCOEE programs.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Salary Grade Range: $87,617.00 - $131,426.00

Recruitment Range: $87,617.00 - $120,474.00

  • Leads Salesforce solution design and delivery by defining technical standards, guiding configuration decisions, and ensuring projects meet scope, timeline, and quality targets.
  • Designs and implements Salesforce solutions using Flows, custom objects, validation rules, and security controls that reduce manual processes and improve workflow efficiency by measurable amounts.
  • Builds and maintains integrations through Boomi and Salesforce APls, consistently achieving defined data-quality targets and reliable, error-free data exchanges.
  • Troubleshoots Salesforce issues by identifying root causes and delivering fixes within established SLAs, improving system stability and user satisfaction.
  • Translates stakeholder requirements into Salesforce enhancements that increase feature adoption and improve key usage metrics across teams.

Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of progressive experience in business application consulting or development

OR

High School or General Education Development (GED) diploma and eight years of experience in business application consulting or development
