
Senior Associate, ANZ TAX (Contract)

Overview Well versed with Direct and Indirect Taxes compliances including advisories Computation and payment of tax liability, filing of returns within prescribed timelines Compiling and filing of applications and follow up with departments for refunds/rectifications Collation of facts and details from relevant teams for preparation of submissions/ replies to various tax authorities pertaining to tax audits and/or usual tax notices. Representation before Tax Authorities for tax-related matters Assistance in Internal & External reviews & audits Responsibilities Education and Experience: Atleast 5 years actual working experience in ANZ taxation with accounting firm/s. Actual working experience with good multi-national company is a plus. Required Skills/Abilities: Working knowledge of ERP package viz., Oracle and MS Office Good communication skills Good team player Ability to manage the work efficiently, independently and within constrained timelines Experience with Media & Advertising Industry will be an added advantage Qualifications About You: Admitted as a lawyer in Australia with eligibility to practice in NSW. Approximately 4–6 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE), ideally with a mix of strong private practice training and/or in-house experience in commercial contracting. Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex MSAs/PSAs and SOW-based engagements, and to take matters to close with confidence and sound judgement. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, coach and build trust across multiple agencies and seniority levels. Organised and responsive, with the ability to manage competing deadlines in a high-volume, high-visibility environment. Interest or experience in advertising/marketing, creative, media, production and/or technology contracting (including copy clearance and IP/content rights) is highly regarded.
