
Business and Finance Teacher (FTE 1.0)
Job Description
Description: West Hartford Public Schools has an opening for a full-time Business & Finance teacher at Hall and Conard High Schools beginning August 2026. With courses in the Financial Services and Marketing & Sales clusters, candidates with a deep knowledge of finance, marketing, entrepreneurship and computer science are invited to apply.
Qualifications: Applicants must hold or be eligible for a State of Connecticut Business Education teaching endorsement (010 Business). A state and national criminal check will be required as well as a DCF search.
Primary responsibilities include: Planning engaging lessons and developing instructional materials and assessments, creating a welcoming and structured classroom environment, working with the department to develop curriculum on an ongoing basis and participating in professional growth activities
The ideal candidate will be prepared to teach any assigned business class from the program of studies, be a team player willing to work in a strong, collaborative environment, and have strong technology skills in both Microsoft Office and the Google platform
