Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the daily activities of the pool, pool deck, and Jacuzzi. Provides a friendly, welcoming atmosphere which will encourage residents and guests to have an enjoyable and safe time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Includes, but not limited to)
- Unlock pool gates and restrooms.
- Retrieve supplies from locker, which includes clipboard, sign-in sheets, and thermometer.
- Inspect pool area, pool furniture, and bathrooms for maintenance problems and cleanliness.
- Report needed repairs and cleaning issues.
- Issue and track keys for lockers.
- Know priority rules and enforce.
- Enforce rules for pool, pool deck and Jacuzzi.
- Ensure all guests have valid passes and identification.
- Scan all member ID cards and guest cards or have them sign-in on daily sheets.
- Return supplies to locker, leave messages for the next Pool Ambassador on duty, lock bathrooms, and lock gates.
- May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or portfolio specific training to co-workers.
Additional
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- May be expected to perform additional duties in an emergency.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED; or one (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
MINIMUM CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
- All candidates and employees must successfully pass background screening.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Includes, but not limited to)
Knowledge
- Demonstrated knowledge of District and Department policies and changes/updates to ensure the ability to abide by and enforce same as it relates to daily duties and responsibilities.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills.
Abilities
- Ability to read/write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
EQUIPMENT (Includes, but not limited to)
Position regularly requires the use of office equipment, including but not limited to telephones, scanners, personal computers, and productivity software.

- Regularly required to sit up to four (4) hours per shift.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be physically able to throw a “life” ring.
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Must be able to push/pull poolside tables where applicable. Weight varies from 20-40 pounds.
