We have an exciting opportunity for an Safety Supervisor to join our company and support our Utica, IL location.
As the Safety Supervisor for Corteva Agriscience, you will lead the execution of environmental, health, safety, and security programs at the production facility by partnering with site leadership, employees, contractors, and visitors to build and sustain a strong safety culture. You will identify and mitigate risks through audits, line walks, and assessments; manage EHS incidents to ensure proper response, investigation, and follow‑up; and ensure all safety training, compliance documentation, permits, and records are accurately maintained. Through continuous improvement efforts, collaboration with regional EHS partners, and effective communication, you will reduce hazards, prevent injuries and compliance events, and manage the site’s annual safety budget while supporting safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

This role will be on-site at the Corteva location.
What You’ll Do:
Coordinate the implementation and execution of Corteva’s safety, health environmental, and security programs/ standards/, and policies at the site
Work closely with site leaders; team members; contractors and visitors to build and sustain a healthy safety culture at the site
Identify, resolve, and document unsafe acts and conditions through regular line walks, audits, and risk assessments
Manage EHS incidents through a coordinated effort with the site leadership team and regional EHS support to ensure proper response, reporting, investigation, and follow up
Ensure safety training expectations are executed at the site for full time and contingent workers, contractors, and visitors
Maintain accurate EHS records, permits, and compliance documentation.
Execute EHS continuous improvement efforts at the site aimed at reducing injury & illness risk, removing hazards, and avoiding compliance events
Engage with EHS communities, regional EHS consultants, and other stakeholders to execute EHS programs and projects
Develop and manage the annual safety budget for the site
Education:
High School diploma/GED
What Skills You Need:
You have two years of manufacturing/operations, agriculture, training, or safety related experience and/or education.
Holds a valid driver's license with ability to drive a company vehicle when needed
Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and interpersonal) with ability to speak comfortably and confidently in front of groups
Ability to influence others without authority
Demonstrates solid coaching, leadership, problem solving, delegation, and decision-making skills
Willing and able to work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, dry, and dusty conditions
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
Exhibits high attention to detail to maintain awareness of existing and proposed safety codes/regulations and company guidelines
Willingness and flexibility to work overtime hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed during seasonal peaks to support business needs
Physical Job Requirements:
Stand and sit for extended periods
Work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions
Lift up to 60 lbs.
Perform work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting
Exposure to dust and plant allergens including but not limited to corn, sunflower, cotton, and canola pollen and protein and sorghum as well as potential mold spores and/or chemicals in the course of your duties

What Makes You Stand Out:
- Bachelor's degree. Occupational, safety or health, industrial hygiene or environmental science degree preferred
- OSHA 10-hr or 30-hr training certification (or equivalent regulatory training)
- EHS&S professional credentials (CSP,STS,ETC.)
