Develops job descriptions for volunteers in consultation with management, keeping in mind program needs and appropriate volunteer involvement
Encourages and supports implementation of ongoing training, supervision and evaluation procedures for all volunteers
Maintains a working relationship with program staff as well as with individual volunteers and relevant community organizations
Ensures that all volunteers receive appropriate recognition through both formal and informal methods
Maintains personnel files for volunteers, including: application form, signed position description, confidentiality form(s) and commitment forms, record of time involvement, training received and evaluation. Personnel files of volunteers working one-on-one with patients/clients also include: Criminal Record Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, Child Abuse Registry Check and proof of valid Manitoba Driver’s licence
