Back to jobsPhD in Chemistry plus 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
Relevant experience in laboratory management and instructional delivery;
Experience supporting laboratory operations and teaching academic courses;
Highly experienced with pedagogical aspects of hands-on chemistry education;
Highly experienced with the use and maintenance of high-valve scientific instruments;
Expertise across all subdisciplines of chemistry at a minimum B.Sc. level;
Experience with lecture design and delivery;
Experience with assessment design and implementation;
Proficiency with standard office software, including Microsoft OS, Word, & Excel;
Understanding of the chemical safety and regulations, including SDS;
Strong oral and written communication skills, including excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships;
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
Excellent organizational skills including multitasking, planning and prioritization;
Relevant experience in staff management and a solid grasp of HR policies would be advantageous for this position;
Familiarity with AODA and understanding of digital security and privacy issues would be considered an asset.
