About the role:
The residential experience specialist supports all Mortgage Loan Originators (MLO) and Residential Loan Officers (RLO) with file set up and data entry, answering department calls, follow up with borrowers and referral partners, marketing and various additional tasks that allow the sales team to remain focused on obtaining additional loans. This position is also responsible for the set-up, accuracy, and delivery of all required and appropriate disclosures sent to borrowers, including both initial disclosures and re-disclosures.
This position has a starting hourly rate of $22.55, but your offer amount may be increased with relevant work experience and transferable skills.
A Day in the life of a residential experience specialist can look like:
- Assist with the preliminary review and set-up of mortgage applications. This includes reviewing credit reports, retrieving tax figures, preparing letters of explanation and retrieving bank statements from our core system.
- Assist the MLO’s and RLO’s in preparing preliminary loan packages for processing by requesting and obtaining required documentation from members.
- Prepare and deliver Mortgage, Term and HELOC loan disclosures within required timeframes to remain compliant.
- Prepare loan application and disclosures for brokered loans within external origination systems.
- Review loans to determine if re-disclosure is required. Collaborate with Sales and Operations to determine cause of Change of Circumstance.
- Perform other duties as directed by leadership.
What you bring to the table:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of mortgage experience.
- Ability to obtain Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration.
- Excellent time-management, organization skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt well to change and learn quickly.
You might also have:
- 3 years of mortgage and home equity loan experience.
- Proficient with Encompass and Jack Henry’s suite of products.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
