Job Summary
We are looking for a Quality Technician to be responsible for supporting the operation of the laminator and press by verifying all material (internal and external) is within specification, enter all tests results in the correct database, place non-compliant material on hold, support AM activities as assigned, support laminator and press operational activities and perform actions assigned.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.
What you will do
- Verify package quality characteristics are within specification and record test results. Responsible for placing all noncompliant material on hold.
- Understand and follow all safety, quality, lamination and press procedures when near machines.
- Perform the assigned Autonomous Maintenance (AM) tasks in the lab and on machine, attend all AM meetings.
- Assure all material produced is within specification.
- Participate in World Class Manufacturing (WCM) team activities to eradicate losses in the process.
- Comply with the safety measures and the good manufacturing practices established for the area.
We believe you have
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Quality inspection and machine systems handling experience.
- Quality assurance certification preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of quality experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred.
- Basic machine maintenance skills.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Dependability and reliability.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic math skills, basic reading comprehension.
- Ability to read, understand and comply with work directions, training manuals, safety rules, standard operating procedures and World Class Manufacturing processes.
Shift
- 12-hour overnight shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
- Alternating between 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week.
- Working every other weekend
