Minimum Work Experience
1 year Related and progressive experience in Supply Chain distribution in health care environment. (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge
Ability to meet the physical demand requirements associated with supply replenishment and equipment deployment in accordance with Supply Chain standard operating procedures.
Ability to perform basic functions on a hand-held device, with appropriate training.
Demonstrates teamwork/cooperation in providing services to direct/indirect customers.
Ability to maintain clear communication with departmental management, clinical staff and end users.
Functional Accountabilities
Supply Replenishment
- Complete and follow Supply Chain standard operating procedures for supply replenishment across all supply nodes within the organization. Regularly checks, pulls, cleans, fills and receives supply bins for full replenishment.
- Ensures adequate and accurate supply levels at all times to meet the anticipated demand of clinical staff and end users. Respond to changes in supply demand patterns.
- Demonstrates understanding and performs bin staging activities in accordance with Supply Chain standard operating procedures. Keeps staging area clean and organized.
- Deliver STAT items or special requests to end users as required, and assist end users with over-the counter issues.
- Utilize supply management technology in accordance with Supply Chain standard operating procedures. Maintain accuracy when working with technology and enterprise resource system (ERP).
- As required, physically count the quantity of on-hand supply in Supply Chain supply areas to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels of any STAT or mission critical items within Supply Chain staging area.
- Manage and communicate stock outs and substitute items with clinical end users and Supply Chain Distribution team.
- Ensures all Supply Chain distribution areas and supply nodes are organized and clean in accordance with Supply Chain and Infection Control policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe working environment in all Supply Chain distribution areas and supply nodes. Must comply with all PPE standards required for invasive areas.
- Identify to Departmental management when maintenance of a supply node is required. Perform regular maintenance on supply node when needed, including but not limited to bin replacement, bin labeling, bin reorganization, etc.
- Ensure quality assurance standards are met by checking and removing outdated and expired supply.
- Store, clean and deploy a variety of medical equipment maintained by Supply Chain to clinical end users across the organization.
- Maintain equipment inventory in order to track equipment, identify soiled equipment requiring cleaning and deliver equipment to appropriate clinical end users.
- Log and communicate equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
- Maintain and deliver medical Code Carts in accordance with Supply Chain and organizational policies and procedures. Respond to Code Cart calls in expedited and timely manner.
- Upon a visit to a clinical supply storage location, scan for misplaced items, trash on the floor, product wrappers and other items, in an effort to present and keep a clean supply work environment.
- Maintain a safe working environment in the aisles and shelves of CSS Store Room.
- Identify to Departmental management when a specific shelf label in CSS or clinical supply storage location contain inaccurate information and is in need of updating or replacement.
- Ensure quality assurance standards are met by rotating supplies in clinical supply storage locations regularly.
- Maintain clear communication between clinical end users and Supply Chain Distribution team.
- Assist with answering phone calls and responding to organization’s “I Need It” application.
- Communicate all supply interruptions including stock outs and backorders to clinical end users and departmental management as soon as information becomes available.
- Meets productivity work standards while demonstrating competency in job skills and knowledge by completing scheduled work in allotted timeframe.
