Key responsibilities 

 

In this role, you will join a dynamic and flexible team, where you will drive improvements to our electromechanical and electronic switchgear products, including manual motor starters, contactors, and thermal or electronic relays. 

Your work will be highly diverse, ranging from design and measurement to part inspection, testing, cost optimization, and production support. You will often take the lead on work packages or projects. 

 

You will be mainly accountable for: 

• Responsibility for one or more electromechanical products as a primary task

• Leading projects and work packages as a secondary task

• Implementation of parts produced from new tools

• Continuous product improvement, including design for manufacturing, design for cost, and functional design

• Troubleshooting in cases of increased scrap rates in production

• Implementation and continuous improvement of new technologies and processes 

 

Qualifications for the role 

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering preferred

• Strong organizational and project structuring skills

• Ability to demonstrate advanced skills in the design of plastic and metal parts, including tolerance chain analysis

• Experience in the development of switching and protection devices, such as contactors or circuit breakers

• Knowledge of electromagnetic simulation or Lean Six Sigma (L6S) tools is considered an advantage

• Business fluent in German and fluent in English
