Position Summary
The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services required for company operations, resale, use or production of finished products. This role ensures cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards, timely delivery, and strong supplier relationships. The Buyer plays a critical role in negotiation, analytical analysis, trend forecasting, and effective communication to support business objectives and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and purchase goods and services required for company operations, resale, or production of finished products.
- Ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining established quality standards.
- Monitor and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Lead negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Perform analytical analysis to support purchasing decisions.
- Monitor market trends and conduct trend forecasting to anticipate business needs.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support operational requirements.
- Support overall business objectives and profitability through strategic purchasing practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
- Experience in sourcing and purchasing within a corporate or manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and forecasting skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
