Job Summary
The Cycle Count Coordinator is responsible for establishing, planning, coordinating, and overseeing the execution of the company’s cycle count program to ensure a high level of inventory accuracy. This role owns the development and standardization of cycle count processes, including defining what inventory is counted, when it is counted, and how counts are executed. The Cycle Count Coordinator provides direction and leadership to Cycle Count Clerks, ensuring consistent execution, accountability, and adherence to inventory control standards across the organization. This role ensures that physical inventory aligns with ERP system (NAV) records through disciplined execution of cycle counts, discrepancy investigation, and controlled adjustment processes. The coordinator plays a key role in protecting company assets, supporting financial accuracy, and reinforcing inventory control standards through adherence to established policies, ABC classification methodology, and audit-ready practices.
Essential Duties
- Establish, document, and continuously improve the company-wide cycle count program, including methodologies, schedules, and controls.
- Define and maintain inventory count scope and frequency based on ABC classification.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate all cycle count activities across locations.
- Lead, direct, and develop Cycle Count Clerks, ensuring consistent execution and accountability.
- Assign count responsibilities with proper segregation of duties (count, recount, reconcile, adjust).
- Monitor count completion, accuracy, and timeliness; enforce adherence to procedures and standards.
- Review cycle count results, validate discrepancies, and coordinate recounts as needed.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Accounting to investigate and resolve inventory variances.
- Identify root causes of discrepancies and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Oversee inventory adjustments, ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and compliance with controls.
- Maintain audit-ready records and support internal/external audit requirements.
- Analyze inventory data, trends, and KPIs to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Develop reporting and provide regular updates to leadership on inventory accuracy, performance, and initiatives.

Education
Required
- High School or GED
Preferred
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Accounting, or related field from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
Experience
Required
- 3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain.
Preferred
- 3 years of experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar).
- Honorably discharged service veterans are preferred.

- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, including cycle counting methodologies, ABC classification, and reconciliation processes
- Knowledge of internal controls, audit requirements, and financial impact of inventory adjustments
- Understanding of warehouse operations, material flow, and inventory movement transactions
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV) and inventory management tools
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple cycle count activities across locations
- Ability to analyze inventory data, identify discrepancies, and determine root causes
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to implement corrective and preventive actions
- Ability to interpret data trends and translate insights into process improvements and operational decisions
- Effective leadership and team development skills, including coaching, training, and performance management
- Ability to drive accountability and enforce adherence to processes, controls, and documentation standards
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and Accounting to resolve issues
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to escalate issues and present findings to leadership
- Ability to manage audit readiness, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures

- Must be able to fluently speak, write, and read in English.
