Job Title: ESP95M- SVP, Chief Information Officer


Brief Description


The CIO plays an integral role to envision, build, deploy and maintain our Technology capabilities and is an integral part in the future direction and performance of the business. This is a strategic role that oversees the growing maturity of a global Technology function in support of business and digital and cloud transformation. This role oversees the functions of Platform Technology, Architecture and Development, Infrastructure Engineering and Corporate IT Applications and Networks.


 

Specific job duties:

 

  • Directs the company’s strategic business process, automation, and digital/cloud platform technology direction, development and future growth and monitors changes or advancements in these technology areas in order to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage; analyze the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions.
  • Identifies, compares, selects and implements technology solutions to meet current and future digital/cloud, automation, and other back office technology needs; determines our long- term business system needs and any hardware, software or other technology acquisitions needed to accomplish the organizations business objectives.
  • Works closely with other parts of the organization to define and deliver technology needed to support new products and enhancements; uses stakeholder feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology.
  • Designs and customizes technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience.
  • Supervises critical IT and Digital/Cloud systems performance and results to ensure functionality, efficiency and value; monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance.
  • Assists in evaluating digital and back office / automation technologies, processes, and methods to ensure alignment with best practices in technology infrastructure, information security, and system operations.
  • Provides strong, collaborative IT and Digital Platform leadership; makes IT a strategic partner that is valued as a resource across the Company.
  • Rationalizes disparate OSS/BSS; driving and implementing best in class service automation across enterprise and cloud architectures.
  • Drives best of breed CLM and CRM tools across the global business, in order to drive business efficiency, operational excellence, and improve customer service delivery experience
  • Works with industry bodies and organizations in the OSS/BSS and Cloud Automation areas, in order to bring Syniverse in alignment with best practices across the IT, Telecom, and Web/OTT application and service delivery space.
  • Collaborates across teams to rationalize, choose, and implement CMDB, ITAM, and ITSM systems to drive automation in asset management, aligned to industry leading mobile services delivery.
  • Works with 3rd Party CLM, CRM, and Public Cloud Providers, to provide best of breed Enterprise and LOB systems services while not sacrificing industry leading automation of service delivery 
  • Collaborates with members of the executive team to identify ways IT can assist the company in achieving business and financial goals.
  • Identifies new IS developments and technologies; anticipates resulting organizational modifications.
  • Ensures that IT and network infrastructure adequately support the companys computing, data processing, and communications needs.
  • Develops and implements the IT budget.
  • Communicates goals, projects, and timelines of the company to the department; plans ways to execute those goals within the department.
  • Establishes long-term IS needs and plans and develops strategies for developing systems and acquiring software and hardware necessary to meet those needs.
  • Assists as top-level contact for end users in determining IS requirements and/or solutions.
  • Ensures compliance with government regulations that apply to systems operations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.



Supervisory Responsibility: 

Lead Information Services Organization

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; graduate degree is a plus
  • At least 15 years of related professional experience; 10+ years of IT management and strategic experience
  • Previous experience transforming enterprise services and systems architectures, driving automation and rapid service delivery for the enterprise, and targeted markets.
  • Experience working with and implementing IT and Telecom 
  • Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills.
