Job Description
SUMMARY
The sales manager (SM) position is responsible for leading an efficient and results driven sales region defined by the complexity of the market and revenue ownership This includes forecasting sales results, coaching and mentoring field sales representatives, and executing overall sales initiatives throughout the region. The SM serves as the region’s point of contact between the field and the regional leadership and market segment leader.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist market account and account executives with field resource deployment, account strategies, and territory planning
Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing sales for each individual they manage; project expected volume and profit
Build, develop, and manage sales team capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives
Coach and mentor field representatives throughout region
Participate in the recruiting and onboarding process of sales representatives
Implement systemic sales process structure
Communicate consistently and effectively with the RD of Sales and Market Leadership
Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or related field preferred.
Minimum of seven years of experience in sales management, with experience overseeing outside sales managers
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle report (insurable)

Work conditions consistent with a general office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, and reach with hands and arms.
TRAVEL DEMANDS
This position requires frequent travel, approximately 50%. Travel may be outside the local area and overnight to visit customers, vendors, and attend seminars or trade shows.
