Warehouse Associate - 2nd shift
Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Loads outbound trucks, unloads and puts away inbound merchandise, and performs clean-up duties.
Shift: Monday-Friday 3 p.m. - 12 a.m
Pay: $20.00/hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Unloads materials from our customers’ and suppliers’ trucks.
- Put away or stock inbound materials.
- Pulls customers’ orders from inventory on hand.
- Load company and customer vehicles with outbound materials.
- Safely operate a forklift to assist in handling of materials.
- Sweep and clean warehouse and pick up trash.
- Observe all safety rules: (i.e. safety glasses, ear plugs, Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.).
- Assist in counting inventory.
- Checks in merchandise from receiving documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to read and write so that written instructions and shipping papers can be easily
- Followed and that corrections and needed information can be easily filled.
- Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
- Must be able to pass our forklift operators test after a normal training procedure.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of building materials a plus.
