Job Description

At The Joseph in Nashville, we believe true luxury is both seen and unseen—defined as much by the precision behind the curtain as the experience in front of it.

Hospitality is more than service—it’s about creating memorable moments through thoughtful interactions and genuine care. As a Bellperson, you will serve as one of the first and last impressions of the hotel experience, delivering warm welcomes, personalized assistance, and seamless guest support throughout each stay. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment and enjoys creating meaningful connections with guests.

Requested Tasks
  • Escort guests to guest rooms while delivering luggage, packages, messages, and other hotel items in a timely and professional manner
  • Engage guests in a warm, friendly, and approachable manner that reflects the hotel’s service culture
  • Familiarize guests with guest room features and amenities upon arrival, including thermostat controls, lighting, and hotel technology
  • Maintain an active and welcoming presence in the lobby and public areas when not assisting with luggage delivery
  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance whenever possible
  • Assist guests with directions, transportation arrangements, and local recommendations as needed
  • Ensure all guest interactions are handled with professionalism, urgency, and attention to detail
  • Support the Front Office team in delivering exceptional guest experiences and resolving guest concerns
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of luggage storage areas, lobby spaces, and bell carts
  • Follow all safety, security, and hotel operating procedures

Requested Capabilities
  • Previous hospitality or guest service experience preferred
  • Approachable, polished, and professional personality with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to anticipate guest needs and provide thoughtful, personalized service
  • Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds, including luggage and packages
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time throughout the shift

As part of Makeready, we offer a benefits experience designed with intention—supporting the full life of our team, not just their time at work. Eligible team members have access to flexible PTO and PTO exchange, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, parental leave, pet insurance, company-matched dependent care and 401(k), student loan repayment support, and a thoughtful range of additional benefits.

We believe our best work happens when our people feel supported, seen, and set up to thrive—at work and beyond.
