Job Description

Full-time

What It’s Like to Support the Team at MOJO

As a Human Resources Generalist focused on Benefits Administration, you’re the trusted partner every MOJO teammate turns to when they have questions about their health plan, a life event, or a paycheck deduction. You make sure benefits work the way they should — accurately enrolled, properly deducted, and clearly understood — across every site and corporate function.

You’re the bridge between our employees, our payroll team, our brokers, and our carriers. When something doesn’t add up — a missing deduction, a denied claim, a confused new hire — you investigate it, fix it, and follow through. You own day-to-day benefits administration in Paylocity, anchor open enrollment, and keep us compliant on ACA, COBRA, and the rest of the alphabet.

This role is about combining technical accuracy with genuine care for our people. You’re developing into a senior HR professional while keeping a complex, multi-site benefits program running cleanly each day.

A Day in the Life (Snapshot)

Start of day:

Triage benefits questions in your inbox, review overnight Paylocity alerts for new hires and life events, and check carrier portals for any escalations.

Through the day:

Process enrollments, qualifying life events, and terminations in Paylocity. Partner with Payroll on accurate deductions. Take employee calls and resolve benefits questions in plain language.

Coaching & education:

Walk new hires through their benefits options at orientation, prepare communications that translate complex plan language into plain English, and brief site leaders on common employee questions.

Compliance & reconciliation:

Reconcile monthly carrier invoices against payroll, track ACA hours for variable-hour employees, prepare COBRA notices, and stay current on state and federal changes.

Open enrollment cycle:

Plan annual enrollment, build communications and education sessions, configure plans in Paylocity, and audit elections post-enrollment.

You’ll Excel Here If You…

• Treat sensitive employee and pay information with discretion every time.

• Translate complex benefits language into plain English for a multi-level workforce.

• Manage cyclical deadlines (open enrollment, ACA filing, COBRA) without dropping the ball.

• Collaborate easily with brokers, carriers, payroll partners, and site leaders.

• Find satisfaction in solving employees’ real problems, not just processing forms.

• Spot patterns in data and proactively investigate before they become bigger issues.

• Want to grow into senior HR roles (HR Manager, Benefits Manager, HR Director).
