What We’re Looking For
Trillium Health Resources has a career opening for a Provider Data Applications & Report Developer to join our team! The Provider Data Applications & Report Developer is responsible for the development and maintenance of the information reporting systems for Trillium’s Provider Analytics and Performance Unit. This involves the development of SSRS, SQL/SSMS reports, Power BI Dashboards, required documents, development of TP and PIHP required reporting, and input into long range planning for the development, implementation, evaluation, and enhancement of Trillium’s value-based purchasing arrangements and performance improvement projects. This position is also responsible for assuring compliance with Trillium’s contract requirements and will assist in the development of quality measurement, focusing on outcome-based metrics.
On a typical day, you might:
- Collaborate with business units to understand data needs and translate them into effective reporting solutions by gathering requirements and delivering high-quality data solutions that support operational and strategic goals.
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize SSRS reports, including SQL/SSMS, R or Python and Power BI dashboards to provide actionable insights for the Provider Analytics and Performance Unit and/or Network Management Department.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting platforms.
- Support ad hoc data requests and provide timely, insightful analysis to Network Management.

Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED and three (3) years’ experience in any of the following areas: Information Technology / MIS, Mathematics (Actuarial/ Statistics), Data Analytics, Engineering Sciences, Business, Healthcare Administration, Human Service field, healthcare claims environment, reporting development, n-tier and web-based system development or support with strong technical knowledge in the specialized areas of application system programming, including software tools such as: SQL Server 2016 R2 or above, SQL, Oracle, NoSQL, MySQL, TFS (Team Foundation Server), Microsoft IIS and Microsoft .NET framework2.0 or above, Source Control, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, SSMS, Visual Studio BIDS, Visual Studio 2016 or above, C#. Requires certification. Applicable certification(s) may be substituted to equivalent degree and experience requirements.; OR
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology/MIS, Mathematics (Actuarial/Statistics), Data Analytics, Engineering Sciences, Business, Healthcare Administration, or Human Service field and one (1) years’ experience in any of the following areas: Information Technology / MIS, Mathematics (Actuarial/ Statistics), Data Analytics, Engineering Sciences, Business, Healthcare Administration, Human Service field, healthcare claims environment, reporting development, n-tier and web-based system development or support with strong technical knowledge in the specialized areas of application system programming, including software tools such as: SQL Server 2016 R2 or above, SQL, Oracle, NoSQL, MySQL, TFS (Team Foundation Server), Microsoft IIS and Microsoft .NET framework2.0 or above, Source Control, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, SSMS, Visual Studio BIDS, Visual Studio 2016 or above, C#. Requires certification. Applicable certification(s) may be substituted to equivalent degree and experience requirements.; OR
- Equivalent combination of education/experience.
- High School Diploma/GED and Associate’s degrees require certification. Applicable certification(s) including Microsoft data systems certifications, CSTP, ISTQB, ASTQB, MTA, MCSA, MCSD, MCSE, ITIL v3, Power BI, as well as INFORMS, IIBA, AWS, Azure, CSPA, Certified Machine Learning – Specialty (AWS), Predictive Analytics Certificate (SOA), and/or CPHIMS/CAHIMS or equivalent certifications will be accepted.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must reside within North Carolina.
- Must be able to travel within catchment as required.
Preferred:
- Recent experience with SQL database management or report development.
- Experience with SPSS, SPSS-X, R, Python, or similar software and/or Microsoft Power BI.
- Experience with standard coding and structures like CPT, ICD, etc.
- Experience in managed care organization/environment or clinical setting.
- Working knowledge of the MH/SU/IDD service array and benefits offered by various funding sources and provided through a network of providers preferred.
- Working knowledge of the HCP-LAN APM Framework.
