The VP of Sales, reporting to the President, includes the following activities and responsibilities:
- Plans, directs, and coordinates the marketing of the organization’s products and services
- Participates in developing, interpreting, and implementing company policies and procedures
- Plans, controls, and directs activities of the sales force to obtain maximum sales volume and to develop maximum potential volume from all markets of the organization
- Ensures that products and services are marketed in accordance with budgeted objectives to maintain maximum profitability
- Continually evaluates the market and adjusts market strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions
- Responsible for training new sales employees
- Prepares sales forecasts for use in the organizations operating budget
- Contract negotiations and contract review
- Approve pricing structure
- Develop target account list
- Prospect and qualify new accounts
- Qualify prospective accounts generated by outside sales
- Other duties as assigned
Professional Experience Requirements:
Education:
Master’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Work Experience:
- Strong background in industrial fasteners, custom assembly components, and vendor managed inventory.
- Minimum of 5 years sales management experience.
Professional Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High degree of general business acumen.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Minimum of intermediate level capability working with the Microsoft Office Suite.
