Public Agency Resources (PARS), a subsidiary of Willdan Group Inc., has an opening for a Permit Technician in the Venice, CA area.

What You'll Do

  • Provide customer support at the counter and over the phone. 
  • Review permit applications for completeness and accuracy. 
  • Calculate and collect permit fees.
  • Process and issue building permits. 
  • Ensure all conditions of approvals are met prior to issuance.
  • Assist the public with permit applications. 
  • Verify all necessary project approvals are obtained prior to permit issuance.
  • Notify applicants when construction documents and/or permits are ready for pick-up or issuance.
  • Coordinate and route documents for plan review and approval. 
  • Help resolve resident inquiries and complaints.

What You'll Bring 

  • Must have ICC Certification and municipal experience (ICC Certification Counter Technician).
  • 3+ years as a Permit Technician required.
  • Knowledge of various permitting software is a plus. 
  • Ability to lift/move up to 10lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 25lbs.
