Patient Care Specialist I – Front OfficeFull‑Time, M–F 8am–5pm
Location: 1495 Pine Ridge Rd, Suite 4, Naples, FL
Compensation: $20–$23 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Patient Care Specialist I to join our front‑office team. This position plays a key role in creating a positive, efficient, and professional patient experience. The ideal candidate has previous healthcare front‑office experience — primary care, internal medicine, or urgent care strongly preferred.
You’ll be the first point of contact for patients and will support daily operations through accurate registration, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
Greet, register, and check in patients while ensuring all demographic, insurance, and consent information is accurate in the EHR
Collect and process copayments following proper cash‑handling procedures
Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations as needed
Explain check‑in processes, insurance requirements, and payment expectations
Answer and route phone calls, schedule/reschedule appointments, and maintain provider schedules
Process urgent referrals, appointment reminders, and medical record requests
Perform administrative tasks including filing, faxing, scanning, and uploading documents
Review patient accounts for outstanding balances or documentation issues
Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and report any privacy or billing concerns
Prepare, route, and manage medical documentation with accuracy and confidentiality
Provide professional, courteous service during high‑volume or challenging situations
Coordinate scheduling across multiple providers or departments
Audit charts and registration data for accuracy and compliance
Participate in required training, workflow updates, and process improvement initiatives
Support the Practice Manager and care team with administrative tasks
Assist with operational reporting related to scheduling and registration metrics
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
MUST have prior front‑office experience in a healthcare setting
Preferred: Experience in primary care, internal medicine, or urgent care
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
Familiarity with EHR systems and insurance verification
Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and accuracy
