Go Lang Developer with 3+ years of experience

Key Responsibilities

• The selected candidate will function as a Go Lang Developer contributing to cloud-based application development using Agile methodologies.
• The candidate will be involved in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Golang-based backend services under the guidance of senior team members or independently (based on experience level).
• The candidate will collaborate with Quest Global internal teams and customer engineering teams in a collaborative development environment.
• The technology stack includes Golang, Microservices architecture, REST APIs, and AWS cloud platform.
• The candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Understanding functional and technical requirements to implement backend solutions.
• Developing clean, efficient, and maintainable Golang code following best practices.
• Participating in code reviews, unit testing, and defect fixing activities.
• Assisting in system integration and environment-level testing.
• Working with cross-functional teams to analyze, develop, and enhance application features.
• Ensuring performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications and services.
• Debugging and resolving issues in Development and Staging environments.
• Continuously learning and adapting to new tools, frameworks, and technologies.

Key Skillsets Required

• Hands-on experience in Golang (Go) with understanding of language fundamentals and project structure.
• Experience or exposure to Microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
• Basic to intermediate understanding of concurrency concepts (goroutines, channels).
• Working knowledge of Databases – RDBMS (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Exposure to AWS cloud services or any cloud platform.
• Experience in debugging and issue resolution in Development or QA environments.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile processes.
• Familiarity with Git version control and build tools.
• Experience working on backend or microservices-based applications is preferred.

Nice to Have Skill

• Working knowledge of Java/J2EE, especially backend development (Spring Boot), with exposure to porting or refactoring Java-based services into Golang.
• Experience with Docker and containerization concepts.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Knowledge of message queues or streaming systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and basics of Test-Driven Development.
• Exposure to additional cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.
• Exposure to the GenAI development life cycle and related system integrations.
