Chemours is seeking a Production Leader to join our growing Melts team! This position will report directly to the Melts Operations Manager at our Parkersburg, West Virginia location.
The role is the key link to translate strategies into tactics. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Manager to continually improve performance in operations uptime, capacity release, cost of the unit, and reliability of processes. The role has ownership of the maintenance planning and scheduling process. The role is point of contact for new growth capital requirements as well as achieving short and long term production goals in support of this growing business.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Accountable for meeting TCOM (fixed and variable cost objectives), main interface with Global Product Mgr.
Champions best practices, effective managing systems and tools.
Owner FEP Unit Communications
Accountable for developing plan and executing on priorities in conjunction with the Operations Manager
Responsible for scheduling predictive and preventative maintenance by date of completion
Active participant in the Management of Change processes
The following is required for this role:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or substantial manufacturing experience
3-5+ years of experience in manufacturing plant operations
Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to work with a diverse population of employees and contractors
Demonstrated leadership abilities in driving continuous improvement in various manufacturing areas such as capacity release, quality and EHS
The following is preferred for this role:
Process safety management skills in HHP operations
Green Belt certification and / or Agile, Lean Manufacturing experience is highly desirable
Familiarity with SAP for cost/work order management
Familiarity with Asset Care processes such as Work Management Process, Reliability improvement processes, capital processes, etc.
