Job Purpose
The Business Project Sr Manager is responsible to support and lead supply chain projects to achieve current and long-term business operations for the Delivery Division. Support and lead project plans that achieve the A00 targets for assigned projects and report status of plan vs actual. Engage with cross functional team and Dept/Division leaders within Purchasing and Supply Chain Center. Report project status and key updates to Honda leadership upon request, if escalation is needed, or as milestones are achieved. Responsible for analytics to help improve efficiency, effectiveness, and consistency of business practices.
Key Accountabilities
- Effectively lead projects of moderate complexity and broad scope
- Create, maintain, and manage project schedule (SAP) to meet overall schedule timing and ensure key milestones are achieved to ensure supply chain stability.
- Establish project milestones and deliverables to include Business Plan linkage, strategic correlation and operational connections
- Lead and facilitate project meetings that ensure key stakeholder alignment and engagement regarding the project schedule and activities.
- Gather and summarize data to make priority recommendations and advise on business options, risks, and costs. Consistently identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support project implementation and achievement of plan vs actual.
- Collaborate and gain consensus on key decisions needed to advance the project activities and schedule, leverage systems/tools to close gaps. Involve management members as needed to ensure appropriate escalation and problem resolution.
- Effectively track project development and provide frequent reporting to key stakeholders (both internal and external mgmt. mbrs) as needed.
- Reports to be given upon Honda Leadership request (if/when escalation is needed and/or as milestones are achieved.
- Act as a liaison between assigned area and departments, plants, suppliers on project related items
- Identify and implement system and process enhancements to the project to improve business operations and efficiency
- Apply key customer (upstream, downstream, and end-use) viewpoint to all activities.
- Develop and enhance standard procedures, training plans, and best practices for the project to ensure continuous improvement and future project success.
- Complete ad hoc projects as needed an/or per management request to further goals and objectives
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business or equivalent relevant experience
Minimum Experience:
- 2+ years relevant experience

Decisions Expected
- Provide tactical and or strategic insights to Department/Unit/Group Leads related projects, budget targets, and internal/external issues
- Proactively recognize gaps and initiate PDCA and provide effective countermeasure solutions.
- Lead investigation and escalation process to determine best recommended path forward considering a holistic regional approach to supply chain
- Develop and maintain the Project SAP to ensure achievement of targets.
- Ability to assess and pivot project schedule as needed to minimize impact and overall cost
- Strive to identify areas for continuous improvement
- Champion Delivery Unit policies and procedures related to SEQDCM
Working Conditions
- Office/Hybrid, periods of local and regional travel
- 5-10 hours OT/weekly or as needed
- Required travel varies and is based on project schedules
- Work in fact-paced environment with demanding and critical deadlines
