About the role.
Reporting to the Product Owner, Treasury, Tax & Compliance, the S/4HANA Functional Engineer – Treasury, Tax & Compliance plays a critical role in supporting McCain’s global SAP S/4HANA Finance landscape. This role focuses on designing, configuring, and supporting SAP Finance solutions that meet global standards while ensuring compliance with regional and local tax, treasury, banking, and regulatory requirements. The position partners closely with corporate and regional finance, tax, treasury, and compliance teams to ensure country-specific needs are accurately reflected in system design and day-to-day operations. This is an existing vacancy and an active hire.
What you’ll be doing.
Own functional design, configuration, and support for SAP S/4HANA Tax, Treasury, Bank Integration, and Compliance processes
Design and maintain global and local tax configurations, ensuring compliance with indirect and direct tax regulations
Integrate SAP tax and treasury processes with external tax engines, banking platforms, and middleware solutions
Partner with corporate and regional finance, tax, and treasury teams to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions
Configure and implement enhancements aligned with McCain’s global S/4HANA Finance architecture
Monitor global legislative and regulatory changes and assess system impacts
Develop and execute test scenarios to validate accuracy and compliance of configurations
Produce high-quality functional and design documentation and support knowledge transfer
Act as a trusted functional advisor, enabling informed decision-making across technology and business teams
Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance system performance, compliance, and efficiency
What you’ll need to be successful.
SAP S/4HANA certification(s) required; bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
8–10+ years of SAP experience, with strong focus on S/4HANA Finance implementation and support
Deep expertise in global tax processes, including indirect and direct tax configuration and compliance
Solid functional knowledge across SAP FI/CO, with ability to support end-to-end finance processes
Experience integrating SAP with external tax engines, banking platforms, and middleware solutions
Proven success working on large-scale, global manufacturing or complex enterprise environments
Strong understanding of finance principles, controls, and best practices
Excellent stakeholder engagement, presentation, and facilitation skills
Strong project, change, and risk management capabilities in a global context
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, evaluate options, and recommend solutions
Ability to work independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while collaborating effectively across teams
About the team.
This role is part of McCain’s Digital Core / Finance Technology organization, supporting global Treasury, Tax, and Compliance capabilities. The team partners closely with regional finance and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant, and efficient SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions across McCain’s global footprint. The S/4HANA Functional Engineer works within a collaborative product-based model, contributing deep functional expertise while aligning local requirements to global standards.

Compensation Package: $85,500.00 - $114,000.00 . CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility
