Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add a Mold Design Engineering Intern located in our Buffalo Grove, IL site.

Reporting to the Design & Engineering Manager, the student will assist with daily engineering tasks while learning, collaborating and working alongside Engineers and cross-functional teams.

What a typical day looks like:

• Assist Engineering Team with continuous improvement project(s)
• Attend Design Status, Customer/Internal Review and Continuous Improvement Meetings
• Complete assigned work orders and provide 2D and 3D models
• Learn fundamentals of plastic injection mold design
• Update design guidelines and standards
• Work with the Tool Shop to obtain hands-on manufacturing experience

Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:

• Junior/Senior student pursuing Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Enthusiastic about working in a manufacturing environment and interest in plastic injection molding process
• Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills
• Solidworks CAD and troubleshooting knowledge highly desired
• Previous internship experience a plus!

Internship Program Requirements:

• Available to work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
• Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
• 3.0 minimum GPA

Pay Range (Applicable to Illinois)

$16.98 USD - $23.35 USD Hourly
