Objective: Production Lead gives our associates an opportunity to display their strong leadership qualities while producing high quality insulation, safely. This role has a core focus of team building, mentoring and cross training on all levels for production standards and operator techniques. This role serves as the mentor to others on the production floor and supports the Sr. Lead & Branch Manager. As a Production Lead, you will ensure that the product created meets quality standards, production goals are met, and that the production staff is proficient in job tasks and achieving daily goals. The Lead will also be trained as the back-up to the Operator(s). This position will also need to have average office skills and a good working knowledge of a computer. You will be given the opportunity to lead and influence others on the production floor to ensure the product we send to our customers is on time and in full. During peak season overtime hours and weekends are mandatory. Job Description • Coordination of production orders and delegation of job tasks to staff • Serve as support and “go-to” source for production staff when direction is needed or for any issues • Work in partnership with Sr. Lead & Branch Manager to set measurable standards for production staff • Assist with the branch initiatives to cross train and onboard new employees • Serve as mentor and coach for production staff • Support and/or Conduct safety meetings and on-site trainings as needed • Update various systems with production data and reports • Work in the office as well as on the production floor during the shift • Operate laminator to ensure that products are in accordance with quality standards as well as verifying that facing, fiberglass, and tabs meet work order requirements • Basic machine troubleshooting • Maximize product output daily • Interact with transportation companies, sales, and planning team • Maintain a clean and safe work area, and report any issues/concerns to management • Recognize substandard product against standard quality expectations • Accurately cut down rolls on band saw • Must understand the use of a tape measure and SF to Roll conversions • Coordinate and learn inventory products and inventory reports to support EOM policies and procedures • Adhere and comply with all Safety and PPE policies requirements Requirements • High school diploma or GED is required • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing work environment • Prior forklift experience is preferred • Proven track record of good attendance and being on time according to work schedule • Bi-lingual needed • Safety shoes Physical Requirements: The work is performed in a non-climate-controlled environment with moderate noise level. This job frequently requires the employee to stand; walk; sit; use hands; climb stairs; climb portable ladders to heights of up to 15 ft.; balance; stoop; kneel; push; pull; reach overhead; read; talk or hear. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Compensation Range
$13.00 - $30.00The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
