Overview

The Accounting Internship is designed to provide a well-rounded, hands-on business experience within a dynamic, multi-entity corporate environment. The intern will contribute to value-added activities while applying foundational accounting knowledge in a professional setting. In addition to gaining practical accounting experience, the intern will develop a working understanding of our cross-entity operations. The intern will work closely with our Controller and Accounting Team, providing support across a variety of tasks, duties, and projects as needed.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries, monthly closings, and the preparation of financial statements.
  • Support data entry, account reviews, general ledger reconciliations, and basic financial reporting.
  • Help document Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) to support process standardization and knowledge transfer.
  • Reconcile bank statements and assist with account tie-outs.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
  • Provide support on special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

Education Actively pursuing or recently completed a master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Coursework Completion of higher-level accounting or finance coursework prior to the start of the internship.

Technical Proficiency Advanced Excel skills required; solid proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Word.

Attention to Detail Strong organizational skills with the ability to accurately track, manage, and reconcile data.

Analytical Thinking Capable of resolving variances, troubleshooting discrepancies, and navigating complex accounting scenarios.

Communication Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
