Responsibilities

  • Data, Systems & BOM Integrity: Collect, validate, and manage product data across PLM and ERP systems. Reconcile physical samples with digital BOMs to ensure 100% accuracy in reporting.
  • Physical Analysis & Teardowns: Execute technical teardowns of product samples in a mechanical lab environment to determine homogenous part levels, material composition, and weights.
  • CAD & Engineering Analysis: Utilize gauges and CAD tools (CREO, SolidWorks) to determine part weights, surface areas, and material specifications required for product sustainability projects.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering and Supply Chain teams to interpret complex drawings and consolidate data (part numbers, supplier names) for use by the product sustainability team.
  • Process Improvement: Identify gaps in engineering documentation and work with global teams to improve the quality of data entering the product sustainability pipeline.

Nice to have

  • Good understanding of the product and Material Sustainability concepts.
  • Knowledge on Manufacturing processes.
  • PLM tool experience preferably Windchill.

Requirements 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
  • Experience: 2–5 years in mechanical engineering, product development, or data analysis.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in reading engineering drawings/specs and using CAD tools (CREO, SolidWorks).
  • Systems: Familiarity with ERP and PLM (Windchill experience is a plus).
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to process complex BOM configurations and identify inconsistencies between physical products and digital records.
  • Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently in a matrix organization.
