Meat Apprentice

SUMMARY

• Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers.
• Trained to be responsible for cutting all meat in accordance with trim specifications and guidelines.
• Trained to ensure the quality of the meat products cut for display in the meat case to promote optimal opportunity for sales.
• Responsible for learning to provide excellent customer service and courtesy on an on-going basis.
• Must learn to adhere to all corporate and state sanitation procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Consistently work within to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
• Responsible for smiling, making eye contact and thanking customer upon fulfilling customer's request.
• Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation at all times.
• Responsible for cutting and preparing meat using knives, saws, cubers and grinders.
• Responsible for ensuring proper wrapping, weighing, and labeling of meat merchandise.
• Learn to Exhibit a high level of customer courtesy and service at all times (internal and external).
• Responsible for adhering to all corporate meat department procedures and standards (i.e.: case layout and trim specifications).
• Responsible for adhering to proper sanitation guidelines (i.e.: refrigeration and N.Y.S. inspection standards).
• Responsible for receiving all meat products delivered at store location (i.e.: DSD and warehouse deliveries). 
• Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Satisfactory Performance Reviews.
• Basic Literacy Basic Computer skills.
• Strong communication skills.
