Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Manager, International Finance, located in Moscow, Russia. 

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes. 

Job Overview 

The Manager, International Finance plays a key leadership role supporting financial planning, reporting, and governance activities for international markets. This position partners closely with regional and global stakeholders to ensure accurate financial results, strong controls, and high‑quality insights that support business decision‑making. The role offers broad exposure to international finance operations within a global MedTech organization and the opportunity to influence financial performance and operational effectiveness during a period of transformation. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead and oversee core international finance activities, including financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes. 

  • Review and analyze financial results, including P&L performance, balance sheet trends, and key variances versus plan and prior periods. 

  • Partner with regional leadership and cross‑functional teams to provide financial guidance, identify risks and opportunities, and support strategic initiatives. 

  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, accounting policies, and governance requirements. 

  • Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial submissions. 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance finance processes, reporting quality, and efficiency. 

  • Support audits and internal reviews, addressing findings and implementing corrective actions as needed. 

  • Coach and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. 

Qualifications 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (required). 

  • Master’s degree or MBA (preferred). 

Experience and Skills: 

Required: 

  • Typically 6–10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial management roles. 

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and performance management. 

  • Experience working in an international or regional finance environment. 

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders and influence decision‑making. 

  • Solid understanding of internal controls, compliance, and audit requirements. 

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. 

Preferred: 

  • Experience within MedTech, healthcare, or other regulated industries. 

  • Prior people‑management or team‑leadership experience. 

  • Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, OneStream, or similar). 

  • Professional finance or accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA). 

  • Experience supporting business transformation or system implementation initiatives. 

Other: 

  • Language: Fluent in English; Russian language proficiency required. 

  • Travel: Up to 15% international travel, as business needs require. 

  • Certifications: Professional accounting or finance certification preferred.
