Job Description
As a Principal NetSuite Developer, you will be the ultimate technical authority for our enterprise NetSuite ecosystem. Building upon the core engineering execution of our Senior Developers, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy to lead solution architecture, drive pre-sales scoping, and oversee complex integration networks. You will act as a premier technical leader—championing thought leadership, establishing robust engineering standards, and defining the automation and DevOps frameworks that safeguard the stability and scalability of our environments.
Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Code Governance: Lead comprehensive architecture and code reviews across internal teams and contractors to enforce best practices, performance optimization, and platform stability.

Technical & Thought Leadership: Act as a strategic technical leader, mentoring junior and senior developers alike, while introducing innovative methodologies and engineering standards across the organization.

Enterprise Solution Delivery: Design, build, and lead development teams for highly complex, enterprise-level NetSuite solutions, focusing heavily on the Manufacturing module, SuiteBilling, CPQ customizations, and e-commerce integrations.

Agentic Engineering & AI Workflows: Drive the strategic implementation of agentic AI development platforms (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) and construct automated agent workflows to radically accelerate the software development lifecycle.

DevOps & CI/CD Automation: Define, implement, and maintain modern DevOps strategies. Own the automation of environment management, code deployment, and metadata orchestration utilizing SuiteCloud CLI and robust CI/CD pipelines.

Integration Ecosystems: Architect and oversee point-to-point and middleware integrations. Drive the implementation of enterprise iPaaS solutions, specifically Boomi and NetSuite Integration Platform (NSIP).

Pre-Sales & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner closely with Delivery Leadership and pre-sales teams to scope custom project deliverables, validate solution viability, conduct discovery, and provide accurate Levels of Effort (LoE).

Data & Performance Management: Strategy and execution of highly complex data migration initiatives. Continuously troubleshoot, refactor, and redesign legacy configuration/codebases for optimal performance.
Basic Qualifications

10+ years of dedicated technical NetSuite ERP and OneWorld experience.

Expert-level mastery of SuiteScript (1.0, 2.0, & 2.1), SuiteCloud CLI, SuiteQueries, and SDF.

Proven Automation Background: Explicit experience establishing CI/CD pipelines, Git repository best practices, and orchestrating automated deployments for NetSuite.

Agentic Engineering Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on experience structuring agent workflows and integrating agentic AI tools into standard development pipelines.

Advanced Integration Skills: Deep technical experience with Boomi (highly required) and/or NetSuite Integration Platform (NSIP).

Consultative Leadership: Strong client-facing background with explicit experience in pre-sales scoping, architecture discovery sessions, and leading technical project teams.

Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently, single-handedly troubleshooting complex codebases and providing coverage across North American time zones.
Desired Qualifications

NetSuite Certifications: NetSuite Certified Enterprise Architect, SuiteCloud Developer Certification, or NetSuite ERP Consultant Certification.

Domain Expertise: Direct experience with Manufacturing and SuiteBilling complex customizations. Direct experience with Field Service Management (FSM) is a massive plus.

Modern Technical Stack: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, REST/SOAP Web Services, GraphQL APIs, and data formats (SQL, XML, JSON).

Education: College or University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
