Job Description & Summary

A career in Partner Affairs, within Internal Firm Services, provides the opportunity to deliver strategic and operational support to current and former partners of the Firm. As part of the Partner Financial Matters (PFM) team, you will play a critical role in managing partner financial programs, including income distributions, settlements, and retirement-related processes.

As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

Preferred Knowledge / Skills

  • Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader, with accountability for complex payroll and partner distribution operations, with primary focus on Retirement‑related distributions and processes and continued support of Active partner distribution processes, as needed.
  • Provides operational oversight of Retirement payroll activities, including REG and PEN processing, payroll confirmations, post‑payroll validations, cost‑of‑living adjustments (COLA), supplemental runs, projections, and regulatory or Finance requests.
  • Oversees retirement activities, including survivor and estate setup and payments, severance (SEV), AAP and Accrual Capital repayments, and deceased partner exception handling.
  • Maintains accountability for UPAS distribution‑related control tables, reconciliations between system and manual controls, and compliance with ICFR and audit requirements.
  • Leads system testing and validation activities for enhancements, upgrades, periodic updates, and recurring operational changes.
  • Oversees end‑to‑end payroll and distribution processes supporting U.S. and Mexico partner populations, including process design, system workflows, integrations, and delivery cadence.
  • Partners with Treasury to support funding for active and retired partner distributions, including oversight of ACH processing and annual payment calendars.
  • Drives continuous improvement by leveraging technology, automation, and process enhancements to improve efficiency, scalability, controls, and data consistency.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on UPAS (PeopleSoft), HCM, Pension system and distribution procedures, advising internal and external stakeholders on process flows, system impacts, controls, and appropriate handling of distribution‑related items.
  • Coaches, mentors, and develop team members by setting objectives, providing ongoing feedback, delivering performance evaluations, and participating in hiring activities.
  • Communicate effectively with partners and stakeholders, providing guidance on policy interpretation and resolving sensitive distribution and retirement matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Builds and maintains strong internal and external relationships to support service delivery, cross‑functional initiatives, and special projects.
  • Utilizes Alteryx, Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Calendar, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams), and other firm‑standard analytics, reporting, and collaboration tools (e.g., Power BI) to support operations, analysis, and reporting.· Leverage automation and digital solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
